Mechanical Engineer – Water & Wastewater / Skid Systems
Cork
Leading Irish Engineering Contractor specialising in water infrastructure and packaged treatment systems
€60,000 DOE strong package
The Company
This well-established Irish engineering contractor has built a strong reputation delivering water and wastewater treatment solutions across Ireland and the UK. Known for their technical expertise in packaged and skid-mounted systems, they work on critical infrastructure projects supporting utilities and municipal clients.
With a growing pipeline of work, they continue to invest in their workshop, engineering teams and delivery capability. The business offers a collaborative environment where engineers are given real ownership of projects from design through to delivery.
The Role – Mechanical Engineer
This is a hands-on mechanical engineering role focused on the build, assembly and testing of skid-mounted systems within a workshop environment. You will take ownership from design handover through fabrication, assembly and Factory Acceptance Testing, ensuring each system is delivered to the highest quality and compliance standards.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including design, electrical and production, playing a key role in delivering complex packaged systems for the water and wastewater sector.
Key Responsibilities
Salary: €60,000 DOE
Benefits:
This is a strong opportunity for a mechanical engineer who enjoys being close to the build process rather than sitting purely in design. You will gain full lifecycle exposure on complex skid-mounted systems while working on essential water infrastructure projects.
The company offers long-term stability, a strong order book and the chance to develop into a senior or lead role as the team continues to grow. You will be part of a technically driven environment where quality, compliance and engineering standards are central to everything delivered.
