A specialist Irish mechanical engineering contractor based in Tipperary, delivering mechanical installation, pipework, fabrication and modular solutions across Ireland and mainland Europe.
The business has strong in-house engineering and fabrication capabilities, supporting technically demanding data centre and industrial projects from design and coordination through to fabrication and site installation.
The Role: Mechanical Engineering Lead
As Mechanical Engineering Lead, you will be based primarily in Co Tipperary, taking responsibility for the design and engineering teams supporting projects across Ireland and Europe.
You will oversee mechanical design, BIM and technical coordination, ensuring engineering deliverables are accurate, buildable and aligned with project programmes. The position will involve ad hoc travel to Irish and European project sites to support project teams, clients and technical delivery.

About You
You are an experienced Mechanical Engineer who has progressed into a technical leadership role and is comfortable managing both people and engineering deliverables.
You will have strong practical knowledge of mechanical installations and understand how design decisions affect fabrication, construction, programme and quality on site. Experience delivering data centre or complex industrial projects would be particularly relevant.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have strong mechanical engineering experience within construction, building services or industrial engineering
- Proven experience required leading or managing engineers and design teams
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, pipework and fabrication
- Must be comfortable with ad hoc travel to projects across Ireland and Europe
Preferred Experience
- Data centre and industrial project experience preferred
- Experience with BIM, Revit, AutoCAD or similar design platforms beneficial
- Experience with off-site fabrication, modularisation or process pipework advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the mechanical engineering and design teams
- Oversee mechanical design, technical reviews and BIM coordination
- Ensure drawings and engineering deliverables are suitable for fabrication and site installation
- Coordinate with Project Managers, site teams, clients and the commercial team
- Resolve technical and design issues throughout project delivery
- Support engineering standards, quality control and programme delivery
- Visit Irish and European project sites as required
