We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a leading mechanical contractor, based in the Cork office.
You will be responsible for preparing mechanical cost estimates for projects of all sizes, reviewing tender documents, completing material and labour take-offs, and supporting Project Managers and Directors throughout the tender and project lifecycle.
This is a permanent, full-time position with excellent exposure to high-value mechanical projects, including opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector.

Estimator Skills:

Estimator Skills:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical estimating on high-value construction projects
- Degree or relevant trade qualification in the Construction Industry
- Experience in Pharmaceutical projects advantageous
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with estimating software such as Total Estimating preferred
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams
- Demonstrated appetite for continuous learning and professional development
- Prepare mechanical cost estimates for small to large-scale projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand project scope
- Complete material and labour take-offs using tender drawings
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing
- Assemble competitive and compliant bid packages
- Liaise with Project Managers and Directors throughout the tender and project lifecycle
- Attend pre- and post-tender meetings with internal teams and clients
- Manage and report on project variations, issuing regular updates to the delivery team
- Assist in monthly project claims and reporting
- Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives where needed
