The successful Mechanical Package Manager will join a major data centre project in Skellefteå, Sweden, working alongside experienced construction, engineering, and commissioning professionals.
The Role: Mechanical Package Manager
Based in Skellefteå, Västerbotten County, Sweden, the Mechanical Package Manager will take ownership of key mechanical packages from installation through to commissioning and handover.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate mechanical subcontractors, monitor programme delivery, manage QA/QC processes, and ensure all mechanical systems are installed safely and in accordance with project specifications.
This Mechanical Package Manager role is critical to successful programme delivery on a large-scale data centre project and requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and experience managing mechanical packages on major construction projects.
Must Have Requirements
You will be an experienced Mechanical Package Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, or Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong background delivering large-scale building services installations.
You will have a detailed understanding of mechanical systems, construction sequencing, subcontractor management, and programme delivery. Experience working in data centres, industrial facilities, pharmaceutical projects, or other mission critical environments will be highly regarded.
Strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to solve technical challenges on site are essential for success in this Mechanical Package Manager role.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
- Must have 7 years' experience within mechanical construction or building services projects
- Proven experience required managing mechanical packages on large-scale construction projects
- Hands-on experience required coordinating mechanical subcontractors and programme delivery
- Experience with a main contractor, specialist M&E contractor, or data centre contractor is required
- Data centre experience preferred
- Industrial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or mission critical project experience beneficial
- Experience with commissioning and handover processes
- Strong understanding of BIM coordination and technical submittals
- Overseas project experience
- Commissioning or CSA coordination exposure
- Additional mechanical or project management qualifications
- Experience working on fast-track projects
- Manage mechanical work packages throughout the construction lifecycle
- Coordinate mechanical subcontractors and monitor progress against programme
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications, drawings, and quality requirements
- Lead mechanical QA/QC inspections and close-out processes
- Attend site meetings, engineering reviews, planning meetings, and coordination workshops
- Review technical submittals, drawings, and design information
- Liaise with design teams to resolve technical and coordination issues
- Track variations and support the commercial team with package reporting
- Monitor manpower levels and productivity across mechanical works
- Produce weekly progress reports and programme updates
- Manage mechanical snagging activities through to completion
- Support commissioning activities and project handover requirements
- Maintain high standards of health and safety across all mechanical works
