The Role – Mechanical Quantity Surveyor
As a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of mechanical packages on a major data centre project. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and site teams to ensure strong cost control, accurate reporting and commercial performance from pre-contract through to final account.
This is a key role within the commercial team, supporting the delivery of high-value mechanical works on a fast-paced, technically complex project.

The Role – Mechanical Quantity Surveyor
As a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of mechanical packages on a major data centre project. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial lifecycle of mechanical packages from procurement to final account
- Prepare and review cost reports, forecasts and valuations
- Assess subcontractor applications and manage payments
- Identify and manage variations, claims and change orders
- Support procurement and subcontractor selection
- Ensure cost control and financial performance across the project
- Work closely with site and project teams to track progress against budget
- Liaise with clients and commercial stakeholders
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within mechanical or M&E contracting
- Experience working on data centre or large-scale construction projects preferred
- Strong understanding of contracts, commercial management and cost control
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem solving
Salary: €75,000 – €90,000 (DOE)
