I’m looking for a Mechanical Service Engineer to join the Service & Repair team based out of Co Kildare. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and problem-solving within the water and wastewater treatment sector.
You’ll be working across municipal and industrial treatment plants as well as pumping stations throughout Leinster, taking ownership of maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs. It’s a role that offers great exposure, autonomy, and technical challenge for the right person.

Mechanical Service Engineer Skills:
- Strong knowledge of water pumping systems, engine-driven equipment (pumps, generators, compressors), and general mechanical systems.
- Welding experience (stainless steel and plastics) would be a distinct advantage.
- Flexible approach to working hours and travel within Leinster.
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
- Team player with a commitment to high safety and workmanship standards.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Full EU/Irish Driving Licence
- Carry out day-to-day mechanical maintenance and support across water treatment sites.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on a range of process and pumping equipment.
- Work safely and efficiently, ensuring all activities align with current H&S standards.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records through the company’s CMMS system.
- Coordinate daily work plans with the Service Manager and Area Supervisor.
