The Company

Specialist mechanical contractor delivering complex mechanical packages on some of Europe's largest data centre developments. With a growing portfolio of projects across Germany and mainland Europe, they have built a reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical installations safely, on programme, and to the highest industry standards.

Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join their project team in Germany. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major hyperscale data centre while progressing your career with a contractor that has a strong pipeline of work across Europe.

The Role: Mechanical Supervisor

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Mechanical Supervisor will take responsibility for managing day-to-day mechanical installation activities across a large data centre project in Germany.

You will lead mechanical trades and subcontractors, coordinate installation works, monitor progress against programme, and ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. This role requires strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, excellent leadership skills, and previous experience supervising mechanical installation teams on large construction or MEP projects.

Due to German HWK certification requirements, applicants must hold a recognised Mechanical Trade (Klempner) qualification. This qualification is mandatory for the role.

Must Have Requirements

• Must hold a recognised Mechanical Trade qualification (Klempner)
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on large-scale construction, MEP or data centre projects
• Experience managing mechanical installation teams and specialist subcontractors
• Strong understanding of mechanical installation practices, drawings, specifications and BIM coordination
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience on data centre, pharmaceutical or industrial projects
• Experience installing specialist piping systems including Brugg
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and commissioning processes
• Experience working on European construction projects

Nice to Have

• Additional Health & Safety qualifications
• Experience using BIM models for installation coordination
• Mechanical commissioning experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily mechanical installation activities to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
• Supervise mechanical trades, subcontractors and labour resources across the project
• Oversee installation of mechanical services, including specialist piping systems such as Brugg
• Ensure all mechanical works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, BIM models, project specifications and manufacturer requirements
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, client representatives and other trades to maintain programme delivery
• Drive a strong health and safety culture by conducting toolbox talks, site inspections and enforcing company HSE procedures
• Monitor progress, productivity, materials and labour resources to ensure programme milestones are achieved
• Carry out quality inspections, manage snagging activities and ensure works meet project standards
• Resolve technical issues and installation clashes in collaboration with engineering and design teams
• Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, workforce records, variations, delays and handover documentation
• Assist with look-ahead planning, resource planning and recovery programmes where required

About You

You are an experienced Mechanical Supervisor with a recognised Klempner qualification and a strong background delivering large-scale mechanical installations.

You are confident leading mechanical teams, coordinating subcontractors and maintaining high standards of quality, safety and programme delivery. You can interpret mechanical drawings, understand BIM coordination and communicate effectively with project managers, engineers and clients.

You enjoy working in fast-paced project environments and take pride in delivering high-quality mechanical installations safely and efficiently.
