Job title: Mechanical Supervisor – Data Centre Construction

Salary: Up to €80,000 DOE
The Company
This specialist data centre main contractor delivers large scale mission critical projects across Ireland and mainland Europe, covering design, construction and commissioning across CSA, mechanical and electrical packages.
With a strong European project pipeline, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join the site team on a major data centre development in Sines, Portugal. The project involves significant mechanical building services installations within a demanding construction programme.
The Role: Mechanical Supervisor
As Mechanical Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of mechanical works on site, coordinating subcontractors, labour and installations to keep the mechanical programme moving.
Based full time on the data centre project in Sines, you will have responsibility for mechanical QA, safety, two-week lookaheads, labour planning and coordination with other trades.
Must Have Requirements
You will be an experienced Mechanical Supervisor with at least five years’ experience overseeing mechanical installations in a construction environment.
You should be comfortable managing subcontractors and labour on site, driving mechanical QA and working closely with the wider project team to maintain programme. Previous data centre experience would be particularly relevant for this position.

- Must have 5+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Supervisor
- Strong hands on experience supervising mechanical installations on construction projects
- Good working knowledge of mechanical building services and site QA requirements
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and labour against programme
- Data centre or mission critical project experience preferred
- Experience coordinating mechanical works with electrical and CSA trades beneficial
- Strong understanding of mechanical QA, inspections and snagging
- Supervise mechanical installations and subcontractors on site
- Drive safe working practices and lead regular toolbox talks
- Carry out safety inspections, audits and site walkdowns
- Manage mechanical QA inspections, snagging and documentation
- Produce two-week lookahead programmes and monitor progress
- Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, CSA and other trades
- Manage labour levels in line with programme requirements
- Monitor subcontractor performance and address issues early
- Prepare weekly progress reports for the project team
- Flag variations, delays and programme risks to management
- Check plant and materials against project specifications
- Maintain high standards of workmanship across mechanical installations
