The Role – MEICA Project Engineer
As a MEICA Project Engineer, you will play a central role in delivering water and wastewater treatment projects from design through to installation and commissioning. Working across both office and site environments, you will coordinate mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control elements to ensure successful project delivery.

This is a varied role offering exposure to treatment plants, pumping stations and critical infrastructure projects, where you will work closely with design teams, site teams and clients to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage MEICA elements of water and wastewater treatment projects from design through to commissioning
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical and ICA works ensuring seamless integration across all project phases
  • Support the design team in developing efficient and innovative engineering solutions
  • Develop and manage project programmes ensuring all interfaces are considered
  • Procure equipment, materials and subcontract services required for project delivery
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee site activities including subcontractor coordination and site labour management
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
  • Prepare engineering documentation including reports, method statements and commissioning plans
  • Compile O&M manuals and ensure all Health and Safety documentation is completed and implemented
  • Work closely with HSQE teams to ensure full compliance with safety standards and best practices

About You
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation or related discipline
  • Experience working in a mechanical and electrical engineering environment
  • Knowledge of water or wastewater treatment systems is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of project delivery from design through to commissioning
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem solving capabilities
  • Motivated, adaptable and eager to develop within the water sector
  • Full driving licence
