A well-established Irish main contractor with a strong track record of delivering healthcare, commercial, residential, education, and industrial projects across Ireland is seeking an MEP Coordinator for a major healthcare development in Co Wexford.

The Role: MEP Coordinator
Based on a large healthcare construction project in Co Wexford, the MEP Coordinator will play a key role in managing the delivery of mechanical and electrical services from design through installation, commissioning, and handover.
Working closely with the Project Manager, design consultants, subcontractors, and site management team, you will ensure all MEP packages are coordinated effectively and delivered in line with programme requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.
Must Have Requirements
You will come from a building services, mechanical, or electrical background with strong experience coordinating MEP packages on live construction projects. You will be comfortable managing subcontractors, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring programme targets are achieved.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with site and design teams are essential for success in this MEP Coordinator position in Co Wexford.

The Role: MEP Coordinator

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 3+ years' experience in an MEP Coordinator, Building Services Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or Electrical Engineer role
- Experience working with a main contractor, specialist contractor, or building services contractor is required
- Proven experience coordinating mechanical and electrical services on construction projects
- Strong understanding of MEP installations, commissioning, and technical compliance
- Full driving licence required
- Healthcare project experience preferred
- Experience using BIM 360, Navisworks, Procore, or similar platforms beneficial
- Knowledge of Irish building regulations and healthcare sector standards
- Strong commissioning and handover experience
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling
- BIM coordination experience
- Coordinate all mechanical and electrical installations throughout the project lifecycle
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions for buildability and compliance
- Manage MEP subcontractors and monitor progress against programme milestones
- Attend coordination meetings with design teams, consultants, and subcontractors
- Track RFIs and technical queries to ensure timely resolution
- Support quality inspections, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities
- Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Assist site management teams with planning and programme delivery
- Maintain accurate project records and reporting documentation
- Support health and safety compliance across all MEP activities
