This leading engineering services contractor delivers complex mechanical and electrical installations across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and South Africa. With expertise spanning data centres, pharmaceutical facilities, power transmission, industrial manufacturing, and other mission-critical sectors, the business has established itself as one of the industry's most respected names.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are seeking an experienced MEP Detailer to join their Building Information Modelling (BIM) team in Limerick.

The Role: MEP Detailer

Reporting to the Lead MEP Coordinator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality 3D models, coordinated installation drawings, and BIM deliverables across major construction projects.

Working within a multidisciplinary BIM environment, you will collaborate closely with MEP Coordinators, Engineers, Project Managers, and site teams to ensure models are fully coordinated, clash-free, and ready for construction.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting project delivery from design coordination through installation and final record drawings, with clear progression opportunities towards a Lead MEP Coordinator position.

Must Have Requirements

• Third-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a strong trade background supported by a BIM qualification.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an MEP Detailer, BIM Technician, or BIM Coordinator role.
• Strong experience using Revit MEP.
• Mechanical or Electrical building services experience is required.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Fabrication CAD MEP.
• Knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection and model coordination.
• Experience working on pharmaceutical, data centre, industrial, healthcare, or commercial construction projects.
• Site surveying and verification experience.
• Knowledge of point cloud scanning and total station surveying.

Nice to Have

• Experience administering Autodesk Vault.
• Exposure to BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Knowledge of off-site fabrication and modular construction.
• Experience producing tender drawings and pre-construction information.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 3D models for mechanical and electrical building services installations.
• Prepare coordinated 2D installation and construction drawings.
• Develop accurate Revit MEP models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Carry out clash detection and assist with clash resolution using federated BIM models.
• Support the Lead MEP Coordinator in delivering all BIM coordination milestones.
• Maintain and administer project model files and drawing registers.
• Build and maintain federated BIM models throughout project delivery.
• Attend coordination meetings with project teams and subcontractors.
• Support site teams by resolving design coordination issues during construction.
• Carry out site surveys, verification, and model validation where required.
• Prepare verified as-built and record drawings.
• Assist with point cloud scanning and total station activities.
• Support tender documentation and drawing production for new projects.
• Work closely with Engineers, Coordinators, and Project Managers to ensure BIM deliverables are completed on programme.
