As an MEP Estimator reporting to the Pre-Construction Director, you will play a critical role in preparing tenders and cost plans for design and build projects ranging in value from €200m to €500m.
You will collaborate closely with the pre-construction and design teams to deliver accurate, comprehensive, and competitive bids that ensure project success.

As a MEP Estimator:
- Strong understanding of MEP systems in construction and design.
- Ability to interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and contracts effectively.
- Familiarity with bills of materials and process design.
- Proven experience in an MEP Estimating role, ideally with large-scale projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Presentation and negotiation skills to effectively engage stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel and Project).
- Experience with cost management software like CostX.
- Familiarity with the complexities of data center projects is highly desirable.
- Sound and business fluent knowledge of English and German is obligatory.
MEP Estimator Skills:
- Appraise tender documents to determine project requirements and risks.
- Conduct site visits to identify site-specific risks and gather necessary data.
- Procurement & Costing:
- Prepare and issue material and sub-contract enquiries, including selecting potential subcontractors.
- Develop analytical cost estimates, including preliminaries, budgets, and cost plans.
- Adjudicate and compare sub-contractor quotations to ensure best value.
- Engage in the design development process and attend design team meetings.
- Raise technical queries to ensure design sufficiency for accurate costing.
- Apply value engineering principles throughout the design and build phases.
- Identify and manage risks during the tender process, maintaining a tender Risk Register.
- Contribute to pre-qualification, mid-tender, and post-tender interviews.
- Present tenders to senior management at settlement meetings, highlighting major commercial issues.
- Ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to site teams through effective handover processes.
- Train and manage junior or trainee estimators to build expertise within the team.
