The Company
This specialist data centre contractor delivers large-scale turnkey projects across Ireland and mainland Europe, providing services from design and construction through to commissioning and handover.
With multiple hyperscale developments currently under construction across Europe and over 500MW of IT load in delivery, the business continues to expand its project leadership teams to support a growing pipeline of mission-critical projects.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced MEP Lead to join a major data centre project in Milan.
The Role: MEP Lead
The MEP Lead will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of all Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health services on a large-scale data centre development.
Reporting to senior project leadership, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams while coordinating closely with construction, commercial, commissioning, design, and client teams to ensure project objectives are achieved safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a senior site leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, commercial awareness, and proven experience delivering complex MEP packages within mission-critical environments.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced MEP professional with a proven track record delivering large-scale data centre or mission-critical projects.
You combine strong technical knowledge with practical construction experience and can confidently manage engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and client stakeholders.
You are commercially aware, solutions-focused, and capable of leading teams through technically demanding projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and programme delivery.
What’s on Offer
Salary: €130,000 to €150,000 DOE

Must Have Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience leading MEP teams on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong experience delivering data centre MEP projects is essential.
- Excellent understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, programming, and project delivery.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project resources and budgets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Previous experience as an MEP Lead, Building Services Manager, MEP Manager, or Senior MEP Project Manager.
- Experience working on hyperscale or mission-critical developments.
- Strong understanding of commissioning and project handover processes.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
- Knowledge of BIM and digital construction platforms.
- Experience delivering large-scale European construction projects.
- Chartered Engineer status or professional membership.
- Experience managing multiple subcontractor packages simultaneously.
- Knowledge of value engineering and project optimisation strategies.
- Lead and manage a team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers throughout project delivery.
- Drive project performance across safety, quality, programme, and commercial objectives.
- Identify and implement design improvements to enhance buildability, programme efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure workmanship and materials meet project requirements.
- Coordinate with Contracts Managers, Site Engineers, Commissioning Teams, and Discipline Leads to ensure timely delivery of information.
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation and ensure design issues are identified and resolved.
- Manage project resource requirements and ensure teams are effectively structured to meet programme demands.
- Lead and motivate project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Maintain the highest standards of health and safety across all MEP activities.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Support commissioning, testing, integrated systems testing, and project handover activities.
- Provide regular progress updates and reporting to senior project leadership.
