Job Title: MEP Lead Data Centre Construction

The Role MEP Lead
As MEP Lead, you will take full ownership of mechanical and electrical delivery on a major data centre project in Sandviken. This is a senior site based leadership position where you will coordinate all MEP activities from installation through to commissioning readiness.
You will lead multidisciplinary mechanical and electrical teams, drive programme performance, and ensure all services are delivered safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards expected on mission critical data centre projects. Your role will directly influence project success, handover quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the full MEP team including Mechanical Engineers and Electrical Engineers
• Oversee mechanical and electrical installation works across all phases of the data centre build
• Drive health and safety standards across all MEP activities on site
• Monitor construction quality, workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with specifications
• Review drawings and technical documentation, identifying discrepancies and coordinating design clarifications
• Propose value engineering solutions to improve cost efficiency, buildability and programme delivery
• Coordinate closely with the Contracts Manager, site engineers and discipline leads
• Manage procurement schedules, plant delivery and subcontractor sequencing
• Oversee commissioning preparation and ensure systems are delivered ready for integrated systems testing
• Maintain accurate reporting on progress, risks and resource requirements
About You
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Proven experience as an MEP Lead or Senior MEP Manager on large scale data centre projects
• Strong background in mission critical construction, hyperscale data centres or similar high tech environments
• Excellent understanding of MEP procurement, scheduling and programme sequencing
• Commercially aware with the ability to identify cost efficiencies and manage change
• Experienced in leading large multidisciplinary MEP teams on complex builds
• Strong communication and coordination skills across subcontractors and senior management
• Detail focused with a commitment to quality, safety and programme delivery
