The Role – MEP Quantity Surveyor The MEP Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the commercial management of high value data centre construction projects in Frankfurt. Working as part of an experienced commercial and project delivery team, you will be responsible for managing the mechanical and electrical packages from procurement through to final account.
This role involves close collaboration with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and clients to ensure cost control, programme delivery and quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities • Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets and financial forecasts for mechanical and electrical packages
• Managing MEP subcontractor procurement, tender analysis and contract negotiations
• Carrying out valuations, cost reporting and commercial forecasting throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitoring project expenditure and identifying opportunities for cost optimisation
• Managing variations, change orders and contractual risk
• Ensuring accurate commercial reporting to senior project and commercial management
• Supporting the delivery team to maintain programme milestones and quality standards
• Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and client representatives
• Ensuring all commercial activities align with construction regulations and project requirements
About You • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor with a strong focus on MEP packages
• Previous experience working on data centre, pharmaceutical, or other mission critical construction projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems
• Proven ability to manage subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account
• Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
• Motivated, organised and committed to delivering projects safely, on time and within budget
