Based in Dublin, Co Dublin, you'll join a well-established Building Services team working across multiple high value projects, helping to drive quality, sustainability and technical excellence throughout the construction process.
The Role: MEP & Sustainability Manager
This is a senior MEP & Sustainability Manager position responsible for overseeing the design, coordination and delivery of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Sustainability requirements across multiple construction projects.
Working closely with Contracts Managers, Project Managers, consultants and specialist subcontractors, you will ensure all building services are fully coordinated, compliant and delivered safely, on programme and within budget. The role also includes managing M&E Coordinators while driving sustainability targets including LEED, BREEAM and NZEB compliance across projects in Dublin and throughout Ireland.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced MEP & Sustainability Manager or Senior Building Services professional with a strong track record delivering complex commercial construction projects in Ireland. You understand the full project lifecycle from design coordination and procurement through installation, commissioning and handover.
You are technically strong, commercially aware and confident managing consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams. You enjoy solving technical challenges while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

The Role: MEP & Sustainability Manager

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 8+ years' experience in an MEP, Building Services or MEP Manager role with an Irish main contractor or specialist contractor.
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience required delivering Design & Build construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, testing, commissioning and building services coordination.
- Full driving licence required.
- Experience delivering commercial, education, healthcare, pharmaceutical or industrial construction projects.
- Knowledge of LEED, BREEAM and NZEB sustainability standards.
- Experience leading M&E Coordinators and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Strong pre-construction, tender and value engineering experience.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards professional accreditation.
- Experience with BIM coordination and digital construction platforms.
- Additional health and safety qualifications.
- Lead the design coordination of all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services throughout project delivery.
- Drive LEED, BREEAM and NZEB sustainability objectives across multiple projects.
- Manage consultant design teams and specialist MEP subcontractors on Design & Build contracts.
- Lead and mentor M&E Coordinators across active construction projects.
- Coordinate utility applications, connections and service installations from commencement through completion.
- Review MEP designs to ensure they are fully coordinated, practical and buildable.
- Resolve technical design issues alongside consultants and project teams.
- Support estimating teams with technical reviews, tender assessments and subcontractor selection.
- Manage procurement and appointment of specialist MEP subcontractors.
- Monitor site installation quality, technical compliance and programme performance.
- Review RFIs, technical submissions, shop drawings and material approvals.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, certification and BCAR handover requirements.
- Review progress claims, variations and commercial aspects of MEP packages.
- Ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained across all MEP activities.
- Review O&M Manuals, witness client demonstrations and oversee final project handover.
