The Role: Planner
An experienced Planner is required to join the project controls team based in Dublin, Co Dublin. Reporting to the Group Planning Manager, you will play a key role in developing, managing, and maintaining construction programmes across major building projects.
The Planner will work closely with project managers, design teams, commercial teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure programmes remain accurate, achievable, and aligned with project milestones. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys analysing project performance while supporting successful programme delivery from pre-construction through to completion.
Must Have Requirements
You are an organised and analytical construction Planner with experience working on major building projects for a main contractor. You are confident managing complex construction programmes and communicating effectively with project managers, subcontractors, design teams, and clients.
You have strong technical planning skills, enjoy solving programme challenges, and understand the importance of accurate reporting in delivering projects safely, on time, and within programme.

The Role: Planner

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a relevant third-level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience required as a Planner on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 is essential.
- Experience using Asta Powerproject and Microsoft Project is required.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills with experience working alongside project teams and clients.
- Experience producing earned value reports and programme analysis.
- Previous experience working with Irish main contractors.
- Knowledge of Lean Planning and Pull Planning methodologies.
- Experience coordinating procurement and design programmes.
- Experience across residential, commercial, healthcare or education projects.
- Strong understanding of project controls and construction methodologies.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Develop, manage and maintain detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6.
- Update project programmes and monitor progress throughout each phase of construction.
- Prepare short-term, trade-specific and area programmes to support site delivery.
- Integrate procurement schedules and design information into the overall construction programme.
- Produce weekly progress reports for senior management and clients.
- Monitor project performance through earned value analysis and progress S-Curves.
- Coordinate subcontractor and supplier programmes to ensure programme compliance.
- Track design approvals, procurement, off-site manufacturing and delivery schedules.
- Attend client, subcontractor and supplier progress meetings.
- Participate in Lean Planning and Pull Planning sessions with project teams.
- Prepare as-built programmes and monitor planned versus actual progress.
- Support consistent planning standards and reporting across multiple construction projects.
- Promote a strong culture of health, safety, quality and programme delivery throughout each project.
