Overview:
An established Irish engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join it’s team on a major wastewater treatment plant upgrade in County Louth.
This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key role in the delivery of a substantial civil engineering project, with responsibility for coordinating site activities, managing civil subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
You'll be working on a technically challenging infrastructure development involving a broad range of civil engineering works, giving you valuable exposure to complex construction activities and the coordination of civil, mechanical and electrical packages.
The position offers considerably more responsibility than a traditional setting-out role because you'll be heavily involved in subcontractor management, design coordination, programme planning, quality control and liaising with the wider project delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all civil engineering activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and in accordance with project specifications.
- Manage civil subcontractors, monitoring progress, quality, resources and compliance with agreed construction programmes.
- Work closely with civil, mechanical and electrical teams to coordinate construction activities, resolve technical issues and ensure effective project delivery.
- Liaise with the design team, subcontractors and site management to coordinate drawings, technical information and construction requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in a site based civil engineering role in Ireland.
- Previous experience delivering civil engineering or water projects is desirable.
- Strong understanding of civil construction activities and project programming.
