The Company
Our client is a specialist data centre contractor delivering major turnkey data centre projects across Europe, covering civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical works through to commissioning and handover.
With a strong pipeline of large-scale data centre developments, they are seeking an experienced Project Lead to take responsibility for the delivery of a major data centre project in Gävle, Sweden.
The Role: Project Lead
This Project Lead position involves overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a large-scale data centre project, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will manage project costs, construction schedules, subcontractors and key delivery milestones while working closely with the commercial, engineering and site management teams.
The position offers a choice of 17 days on, 4 days off or 5 weeks on, 1 week off rotations, with individual accommodation provided.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced Project Lead, Senior Project Manager or Construction Project Manager with a strong background in delivering major construction projects.
You will have the leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams, maintain programme delivery and make commercially sound decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Strong communication, organisation and client management skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate complex construction packages and deliver projects to agreed deadlines.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior construction project management or project delivery role.
- Proven experience managing major construction projects, including programme delivery, cost control and subcontractor coordination.
- Strong commercial knowledge, including construction budgets, procurement and financial reporting.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing subcontractors, vendors and consultants.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and relevant construction project management software.
- Previous experience delivering large-scale data centre projects.
- Experience working on major industrial, pharmaceutical or mission-critical construction projects.
- Knowledge of Design & Build procurement, long-lead equipment and complex construction programmes.
- Previous experience managing major construction projects across Europe.
- Take overall responsibility for project delivery, including programme, budget, safety and quality.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, specialist vendors, consultants and site management teams.
- Monitor construction progress, critical milestones and potential programme delays.
- Review construction proposals, subcontractor pricing, scopes of work and procurement requirements.
- Lead client meetings and coordinate communication between project stakeholders.
- Work closely with the commercial team to monitor project costs, budgets and financial performance.
- Manage long-lead equipment schedules and ensure procurement aligns with construction requirements.
- Review cost estimates, payment applications, invoices and retention payments.
- Coordinate engineering and design changes, assessing their impact on programme and budget.
- Oversee project controls, scheduling reviews and construction reporting.
- Manage project close-out, handover documentation, warranties and final client deliverables.
