This Irish civil engineering contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering complex groundworks, reinforced concrete, utilities and infrastructure projects across Ireland.
Working alongside major construction and engineering contractors, the company delivers substantial civil engineering packages across the energy, industrial and data centre sectors.
They are preparing to commence the civils package on a major electrical substation development in Co Wicklow, associated with a wider €50m+ infrastructure investment supporting the data centre sector.
The Role: Project Manager
As Project Manager, you'll take responsibility for delivering the civil engineering package on a major electrical substation development in Co Wicklow.
Working under a specialist electrical engineering contractor, you'll manage the civils programme from initial site setup through to completion, coordinating site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and plant resources.
The works are expected to include substantial groundworks, reinforced concrete foundations, drainage, ducting, underground services and associated infrastructure.
You'll work closely with the senior management and commercial teams to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
Must Have Requirements
You'll be an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager with a strong background in delivering substantial civils packages across infrastructure, utilities or industrial construction projects.
You'll understand the practical challenges involved in groundworks, reinforced concrete, drainage and underground services and be confident managing subcontractors and engineering teams.
Experience on electrical substations or data centre infrastructure projects would be beneficial, but a strong background in civil engineering project delivery is the priority.

- Must have 7+ years' experience in civil engineering or construction project management
- Proven experience delivering substantial civil engineering packages with an Irish contractor
- Strong experience in groundworks, reinforced concrete, drainage and underground services required
- Must have experience managing subcontractors, site teams and construction programmes
- Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of Irish construction Health & Safety requirements
- Electrical substation or energy infrastructure experience preferred
- Data centre construction or enabling works experience beneficial
- Experience delivering civils packages under a principal contractor
- Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Manage the delivery of the civils package on the substation development
- Coordinate site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and plant resources
- Oversee groundworks, reinforced concrete foundations, drainage and ducting
- Manage construction programmes and ensure project milestones are achieved
- Cordinate closely with the principal contractor and electrical engineering teams
- Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity and quality standards
- Work with the commercial team to manage project costs, variations and procurement
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and Health & Safety requirements
- Manage site reporting, progress meetings and technical coordination
- Oversee construction sequencing and project handover
