Job title: Project Manager - €30m+ New Build School Project

Package: €90,000 to €95,000 + vehicle / vehicle allowance, pension, healthcare, dental and bonus package
The Company
This Tier 1 Irish main contractor has a strong track record delivering major education, commercial, healthcare and public sector construction projects throughout Ireland.
They are commencing a €30m+ new build school project Co Carlow, providing a substantial long-term project for an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility from the early construction stages through to final handover.
The Role: Project Manager
As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the delivery of a large new build education project in Carlow, working closely with the Contracts Manager, site management team, design team and commercial team.
You will manage programme delivery, subcontractor coordination, quality, health and safety and site resources, ensuring the project progresses in line with agreed milestones. With a sizeable campus and a range of teaching, special education and sports facilities, strong coordination between the different work packages will be important throughout the build.

About You
You are an experienced Project Manager or Senior Site Manager with a strong main contractor background and a track record of delivering substantial building projects in Ireland.
You will be comfortable managing a large site team and multiple subcontractor packages while keeping a close eye on programme, quality and safety. You should be practical, organised and capable of making decisions on site without losing sight of the wider project programme.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 7+ years’ construction management experience with an Irish main contractor
- Proven experience required delivering large-scale building projects from construction through to handover
- Must have previous experience operating at Project Manager or Senior Site Manager level
- Strong knowledge of programme management, subcontractor coordination and quality control
Preferred Experience
- Education or major public sector construction experience preferred
- Experience delivering projects valued at €20m+ beneficial
- Strong working knowledge of modern construction management and reporting systems
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for day-to-day project delivery
- Manage the construction programme and key project milestones
- Lead and coordinate Site Managers, Engineers and subcontractors
- Work closely with the commercial team on procurement and project performance
- Coordinate with the design team to resolve technical and construction issues
- Maintain high standards of health and safety and quality across the project
- Chair progress meetings and provide clear reporting to senior management
- Drive the project through commissioning, snagging and final handover
