This Irish civil engineering contractor has a strong track record delivering complex infrastructure projects across Ireland, with particular experience in airport infrastructure, roadworks, utilities and heavy civil engineering.
They have significant experience working within live operational environments where programme, safety, quality and careful coordination are critical to delivery.
The Role: Civil Project Manager
As Civil Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the delivery of a significant airfield infrastructure project in Co Clare.
The project involves new concrete pavement construction and associated civil engineering works within a live airport environment. You will manage the project programme, site team, subcontractors and engineering activities while ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification and within agreed timeframes.
You will report to senior management and work closely with the engineering, commercial and site teams throughout delivery.

About You
You will be an experienced Civil Project Manager with a background in heavy civil engineering, roads, concrete pavement or infrastructure projects.

Strong planning, communication and problem solving skills are important, along with a practical understanding of civil engineering construction and quality control.

- Strong knowledge of Irish construction health and safety and quality requirements
Preferred Experience
- Airport or airfield infrastructure experience preferred
- Experience working within live operational environments beneficial
- Civil Engineering or Construction Management qualification preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day to day delivery of the civil engineering works
- Drive the construction programme and coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
- Oversee concrete pavement and associated civil works
- Manage site engineering, quality control and technical compliance
- Maintain high health and safety standards across the project
- Coordinate closely with the commercial and engineering teams
- Manage subcontractor performance and resolve site issues
- Monitor progress against programme and report to senior management
- Coordinate works around operational and access requirements
- Maintain strong communication with the client and project stakeholders
