They are expanding again and looking to bring in a strong Project Manager to join the team. This is a full-time, permanent role based out of Carlow with regular site visits, managing essential projects in the water and wastewater sector. If you’re technically sound, organised, and able to lead from the front, this could be a great fit.

Project Manager Skills:  
  • At least 10 years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, including time spent in a project management or senior project engineering role.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and coordinating vendor/construction drawings.
  • Experience in plant design, commissioning, and site-based supervision.
  • Ideally, you’ll have worked on water or wastewater projects before — but we’re open to wider utilities or infrastructure backgrounds.
  • Someone who’s organised, self-directed, and able to balance technical and commercial priorities.
  • Strong communicator with a practical mindset and a collaborative approach.

As a Project Manager:  
  • Manage the design, delivery, and close-out of water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee development of designs, drawings, technical reports, and calculations.
  • Interpret client specifications, liaise with client teams and consultants.
  • Generate and maintain contract programmes and track delivery against them.
  • Manage suppliers and subcontractors — ensuring work is done right and on time.
  • Handle resource scheduling, on-site supervision, and QA procedures.
  • Create and maintain project safety files in line with HSA regulations.
  • Draft method statements, risk assessments, and compile O&M manuals.
  • Monitor project finances and variation/change order logs.
  • Keep construction drawings updated with vendor packages and real-time site inputs.
  • Act as the day-to-day contact between office and site — whether that’s with fitters, electricians, or engineers.
  • You’ll be based in our Carlow office with site travel depending on project locations.


The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €75,000 plus package.
