An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a fast-paced and growing team delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical services across a wide range of projects including industrial, commercial, healthcare, education, residential & more.

Based in Cork, this role is ideal for a motivated professional with M&E experience looking to play a key role in the commercial success of projects from tender through to final account.

Quantity Surveyor Skills:  
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably within the mechanical and/or electrical contracting sector.
  • Sound knowledge of M&E systems, subcontractor management, and commercial processes.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software (e.g., Cubit, CostX, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of Irish construction contracts and commercial procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

As a Quantity Surveyor:  
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities for M&E works.
  • Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes, ensuring alignment with project budgets.
  • Monitor project costs, identify variations, and provide accurate cost reporting to senior management.
  • Assist with monthly valuations, progress claims, and interim/final accounts.
  • Liaise with site teams, engineers, and procurement to manage budgets effectively.
  • Prepare and submit cost plans, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Track project profitability, mitigate commercial risks, and ensure cost-effective delivery.
  • Ensure all contractual and commercial obligations are fulfilled.


The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least to €80,000 plus package.
