As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for all aspects of cost management across assigned projects, from tender stage through to final account based in Co Mayo/Offaly.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with project teams to ensure profitability and contract compliance.

Quantity Surveyor Skills:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience in civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of standard forms of contract (e.g., NEC, FIDIC, Public Works).
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Strong IT and measurement software proficiency (e.g., Excel, Cubit, CostX).
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

As a Quantity Surveyor:
 
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.
  • Prepare and evaluate subcontractor packages, variations, and claims.
  • Support tendering and procurement processes, including pricing and negotiation.
  • Provide monthly cost reports and value engineering recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and company commercial procedures.
  • Liaise with project managers and clients to provide accurate financial information.
  • Identify risks and opportunities to improve project margins.
  • Manage final accounts and project close-out documentation.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €60,000 plus package to and more.
