The Role – Quantity Surveyor / Estimator
Reporting to the Head of Commercial and Estimating, this role sits within the commercial team supporting the delivery of public lighting and infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in cost management, estimating, and contract administration, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
This position suits an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to develop further within utilities, infrastructure, and public works projects while gaining exposure to a wide range of commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities
Salary: €55,000 – €75,000 (DOE)

The Role – Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

You will play a key role in cost management, estimating, and contract administration, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
This position suits an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to develop further within utilities, infrastructure, and public works projects while gaining exposure to a wide range of commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile estimations, bills of quantities, and project quotations
- Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Manage and track client quotations through internal CRM systems
- Support subcontractor management including payment assessments
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts for clients
- Compile and manage variations and extension of time claims
- Provide cost reporting and commercial updates to senior management
- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions for large scale projects
- Support contract management and administration activities
- Work closely with project teams to support procurement, cost control, and delivery strategy
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering
- 5 plus years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying or similar commercial role
- Strong background in cost control, estimating, and contract administration
- Experience working within construction, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
- Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of contracts
- Strong IT skills with proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across teams and clients
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving ability
- Motivated, organised, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
Salary: €55,000 – €75,000 (DOE)
