This established Irish M&E contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering mechanical, electrical, fire protection and specialist technology installations across commercial, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, healthcare and public sector projects throughout Ireland.

The role can be based across Galway or Mayo, with involvement on projects throughout the region.
The Role: Quantity Surveyor (M&E)
As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of mechanical and electrical projects across Galway and Mayo. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and the Commercial Director, you will oversee cost planning, procurement, subcontractor management, valuations, variations and final accounts to ensure projects are delivered profitably.
This role offers excellent exposure to a wide variety of building services projects and would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong commercial background in mechanical and electrical contracting.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in mechanical and electrical contracting or building services. You understand the commercial demands of live construction projects and can confidently manage multiple contracts while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
You are organised, commercially focused and capable of delivering accurate financial reporting while supporting successful project delivery across Galway, Mayo and the wider region.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have at least 5 years' experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor
- Experience working with an M&E contractor, specialist subcontractor or main contractor is required
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Strong knowledge of subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Full driving licence with flexibility to travel to projects across Galway and Mayo
- Experience delivering pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing or commercial projects
- Strong contractual knowledge and commercial awareness
- Experience preparing Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and commercial software packages
- Experience across multiple live M&E projects
- Value engineering experience
- Knowledge of current Irish construction contracts and procurement practices
- Manage the commercial performance of multiple mechanical and electrical projects
- Prepare monthly valuations, payment applications and final accounts
- Produce accurate Cost Value Reconciliations and commercial forecasts
- Procure specialist M&E subcontract packages and negotiate commercial agreements
- Price, negotiate and agree project variations and change orders
- Monitor project cash flow, budgets and profitability
- Attend site meetings, progress reviews and commercial meetings with clients and consultants
- Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation measures
- Support project teams with contractual advice throughout programme delivery
- Develop value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and project objectives
You are an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in mechanical and electrical contracting or building services.
