The Role: Quantity Surveyor
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial delivery of mechanical projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and the Commercial Manager, you will ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining strong commercial control throughout.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to further their career with a respected mechanical contractor in Co Mayo, gaining exposure to a varied portfolio of mechanical services projects.
Must Have Requirements
You are a Quantity Surveyor with at least three years' experience working within the Irish construction industry. You understand the commercial challenges involved in delivering mechanical services projects and can confidently manage costs while building positive working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
You are organised, commercially aware and capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative project team. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help ensure successful project delivery from start to finish.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 3 years' Quantity Surveying experience with an Irish contractor or mechanical subcontractor
- Experience working on mechanical, MEP or building services projects is required
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of Irish construction contracts, procurement and cost reporting
- Experience working on pharmaceutical, healthcare or industrial projects
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and commercial software packages
- Strong client and subcontractor management skills
- Experience with NEC or JCT contracts
- Chartered status or working towards accreditation
- Familiarity with modern cost management systems
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost reports
- Procure mechanical subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare tender enquiries and evaluate subcontractor quotations
- Negotiate subcontract agreements and manage commercial risk
- Prepare interim valuations, variations and final accounts
- Monitor project costs and maintain accurate commercial reporting
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Attend project meetings with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Support cash flow forecasting and monthly financial reporting
- Ensure contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle
