This Cork based engineering consultancy delivers mechanical, electrical and project management services for pharmaceutical, MedTech, food, commercial and private sector clients. Their work includes M&E engineering design, energy efficiency design, cleanroom design, utility equipment design and construction design support.

With a strong Cork presence, the company offers a technically focused environment where experienced engineers can take ownership of design quality, client delivery and project coordination.

The Role: Senior Building Services Engineer

As Senior Building Services Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services packages from early design through to construction support.

You will work with clients, internal engineers, project managers and external design teams to ensure systems are practical, compliant, coordinated and delivered to programme.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have 7 to 10 years’ experience in building services engineering
• Proven experience required in mechanical services design
• Experience working with an M&E consultancy is required
• Strong knowledge of Irish building services standards and project delivery

Preferred Experience

• Pharmaceutical, MedTech, food or commercial sector experience preferred
• Cleanroom, utilities or energy efficiency design experience beneficial
• Client facing design team experience beneficial

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical building services design on assigned projects
• Manage design deliverables, technical calculations and specifications
• Coordinate with electrical, architectural, structural and process teams
• Review drawings, technical submissions and design documentation
• Support project managers with programme, technical risk and client updates
• Attend design team meetings and construction stage reviews
• Mentor junior engineers and support CPD within the team
• Maintain high standards around compliance, quality and energy efficient design

About You

You are an experienced Senior Building Services Engineer with strong technical judgement and the confidence to lead design coordination.

You understand how building services decisions affect cost, function, programme and long term building performance.
