Essential:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5–7 years’ post-graduate experience in Building Services Design (consultancy environment preferred).
• Proven track record in delivering medium to large-scale MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of Irish and UK building regulations, CIBSE standards, and sustainability practices.
• Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and design tools (Hevacomp, IES, etc.).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Chartered or working towards Chartered status with Engineers Ireland.
• Strong leadership, organisation, and client-facing skills.

Desirable:

• Experience in leading a design team or managing project delivery independently.
• Working knowledge of BIM Level 2 processes.
• Understanding of LEED, BREEAM, or other sustainability frameworks.
• Experience in mentoring or developing junior staff.

As a Senior Design Building Services Engineer:

• Lead the design, coordination, and delivery of building services projects from concept to completion.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams including architects, structural engineers, and contractors.
• Conduct site inspections, surveys, and client meetings.
• Ensure designs comply with building regulations, sustainability targets, and client requirements.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and CAD/Revit technicians.
• Liaise with clients to provide technical guidance and build long-term relationships.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal design standards and processes.

The Package: Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €75,000 plus package and more.
