The Role – Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer
This is a key role within the commissioning team, focused on the successful delivery of electrical systems across complex data centre projects. You will take ownership of commissioning activities, ensuring systems are tested, validated and handed over in line with strict programme and quality requirements.
Working closely with commissioning managers, vendors and project teams, you will play a central role in driving commissioning progress while maintaining the highest safety and technical standards.

Salary: €80,000 – €100,000 (DOE)

The Role – Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer
This is a key role within the commissioning team, focused on the successful delivery of electrical systems across complex data centre projects. You will take ownership of commissioning activities, ensuring systems are tested, validated and handed over in line with strict programme and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage commissioning activities across assigned electrical packages and vendors
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with scope, programme milestones and quality standards
- Coordinate and monitor commissioning progress, reporting regularly to senior management
- Attend and contribute to daily and weekly commissioning meetings
- Oversee vendor performance and ensure compliance with project documentation
- Review and approve commissioning documentation including test scripts and compliance reports
- Witness testing and validation of electrical systems on site
- Coordinate with QAQC and energy teams for switching, permitting and system readiness
- Manage commissioning tagging processes and handover procedures
- Maintain strong focus on safety, quality and programme delivery
- Electrical trade or degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in commissioning within construction or engineering projects
- Strong experience working with LV, MV or HV electrical systems
- Data centre, industrial, pharma or mission critical project experience highly desirable
- Strong understanding of electrical systems including switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators and BMS/EPMS
- Experience with SCADA and automation systems such as IEC 61850 or Modbus TCP
- Knowledge of protection systems, relays and network architecture
- Ability to review and understand control logic and commissioning processes
- Strong communication and coordination skills with subcontractors and project teams
- Detail focused with a structured and process driven approach
