The Role – Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer
As a Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering electrical building services designs for hyperscale data centre projects. Working closely with both UK and international teams, you will lead electrical design packages from concept through to construction.
You will act as a technical lead across multiple projects, ensuring designs meet programme, budget, and quality expectations. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will directly influence project delivery, client satisfaction, and technical standards across the business.

Salary: £70,000 – £90,000 (DOE)

The Role – Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer
As a Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering electrical building services designs for hyperscale data centre projects. Working closely with both UK and international teams, you will lead electrical design packages from concept through to construction.
You will act as a technical lead across multiple projects, ensuring designs meet programme, budget, and quality expectations. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will directly influence project delivery, client satisfaction, and technical standards across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design packages across data centre and mission critical projects
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with Health & Safety standards and best practice
- Manage design programmes to align with construction timelines
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams, clients, and contractors
- Oversee and mentor junior engineers and BIM technicians
- Produce detailed electrical schematics and specifications
- Develop and maintain internal electrical design standards
- Prepare tender documentation, reports, and technical submissions
- Monitor installation and quality on-site through to project completion
- Provide technical input on budgets, feasibility, and project scope
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- 10 years’ experience in electrical design, ideally at Senior Engineer level
- Strong background in data centre or mission critical building services projects
- In-depth knowledge of electrical design standards including CIBSE, IEC, BS, and EN
- Experience with software such as AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech, and Revit
- Proven ability to lead projects from concept through to completion
- Strong communication skills with experience engaging clients and stakeholders
- Leadership mindset with experience mentoring junior team members
- Detail-focused with a strong commitment to quality and delivery
Salary: £70,000 – £90,000 (DOE)
