This established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy provides Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls, and Building Services Design solutions across Ireland and Europe.
With a strong reputation for delivering technically complex projects, the business works with leading clients across the data centre, pharmaceutical, life sciences, food and beverage, industrial manufacturing, and energy sectors. Their involvement spans the full project lifecycle from feasibility studies and concept design through detailed engineering, construction support, commissioning, and project handover.
Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their Dublin team.
The Role: Senior Electrical Design Engineer
This is an opportunity to take a lead role in the design and delivery of complex electrical engineering projects across mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial, and manufacturing environments.
Working closely with Project Managers, Mechanical Engineers, Controls Engineers, BIM teams, and client stakeholders, you will be responsible for developing innovative and technically robust electrical designs from concept through to detailed design and construction support.
You will play a key role in delivering projects including hyperscale data centres, pharmaceutical production facilities, manufacturing plants, food processing facilities, and critical infrastructure developments throughout Ireland and Europe.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced Electrical Design Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
You have strong design capability, excellent communication skills, and a practical understanding of how electrical systems are implemented in live construction and industrial environments.
You are commercially aware, technically strong, and comfortable working directly with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.

The Role: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Must have 5 years' experience in an electrical design consultancy, industrial engineering, or building services design environment.
- Strong experience designing LV and MV electrical systems.
- Proven experience delivering projects within the data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, manufacturing, or building services sectors.
- Experience using ETAP, Amtech, Trimble ProDesign, Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD, or similar electrical design software.
- Experience carrying out load flow studies, short circuit analysis, protection coordination studies, and voltage drop calculations.
- Strong knowledge of Irish, European, and international electrical design standards.
- Experience working directly with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience supporting projects through construction and commissioning phases.
- Revit MEP experience beneficial.
- Data centre design experience.
- Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership.
- Experience with renewable energy integration and power quality studies.
- Knowledge of BIM workflows and digital project delivery.
- Lead the electrical design and technical coordination of projects from concept through to completion.
- Prepare electrical calculations, technical reports, specifications, and detailed design documentation.
- Design LV and MV power distribution systems.
- Develop lighting, emergency lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection, and cable containment designs.
- Carry out load flow analysis, short circuit studies, protection coordination studies, arc flash assessments, and voltage drop calculations.
- Produce and review single line diagrams, schematics, and detailed engineering drawings.
- Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Controls, Process, Civil, and BIM teams.
- Attend client meetings and provide technical leadership throughout project delivery.
- Support tender evaluations and respond to contractor technical queries.
- Carry out site inspections, technical reviews, and commissioning support activities.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers within the design team.
- Support project delivery through all design stages from feasibility to construction and handover.
