The Company

This well-established building services contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical installations across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and mixed-use developments throughout Dublin and the wider Leinster region.

With a growing project portfolio and a strong pipeline of secured work, the company continues to invest in its engineering team and is now seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of major projects across the region.

The Role: Senior Electrical Engineer

This is a hybrid position offering a mix of office, site, and home working. You will play a key role in the successful delivery of electrical packages from design coordination through to installation, commissioning, and project handover.

Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives, you will ensure electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have 5 years' experience delivering electrical works on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of LV distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, containment, earthing, and bonding.
• Proven experience coordinating electrical subcontractors and installation teams.
• Experience working within the Irish construction market is required.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and multidisciplinary project delivery

Preferred Experience

• Commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, or education project experience.
• Experience managing technical submittals, procurement schedules, and material tracking.
• Strong QA/QC and inspection experience.
• Experience supporting commissioning and handover activities.
• Electrical Engineering qualification preferred.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Irish electrical regulations and current standards.
• Experience with BIM coordination and digital construction processes.
• Exposure to modern methods of construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of electrical packages from installation through to commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate electrical subcontractors and site teams to maintain programme and productivity targets.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Raise and manage technical queries and design issues.
• Coordinate design updates with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Support project planning and short-term look-ahead programmes.
• Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Manage inspections, testing procedures, and QA documentation.
• Support commissioning activities and client witnessing procedures.
• Assist with procurement planning, material scheduling, and delivery management.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including test certificates, O&M manuals, and as-built records.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical input and progress updates.
• Coordinate electrical works with other trades to minimise programme delays and site clashes.
• Identify programme risks and support mitigation strategies.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health and safety on site.

• You are An experienced Senior Electrical Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of electrical packages and working closely with project teams to drive successful delivery.
• You have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a practical understanding of how electrical works integrate with wider construction activities.
• You are organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities within fast-paced project environments.
