Senior Electrical Estimator You are an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator with a strong background in electrical infrastructure and power projects, looking to take on a strategic role within a growing engineering and renewables business delivering transmission, distribution, renewable energy and industrial projects across Ireland.

This is a senior, commercially focused position based in Dublin, working closely with bid, commercial and engineering teams to produce accurate, competitive and compliant tenders. You will play a key role in pricing strategy, risk assessment and mentoring junior team members while supporting the continued growth of the business.

Senior Electrical Estimator – Skills & Experience: Degree or Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline

Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical estimating within power, utilities or construction environments

Strong technical understanding of LV, MV and HV electrical systems

Experience working on transmission, distribution and renewable energy projects

Familiarity with clients such as ESB Networks, EirGrid or similar advantageous

Proficient in MS Excel and estimating software (e.g. Candy, ConQuest, CCS or similar)

Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes and health & safety regulations

High level of commercial awareness with a cost-focused mindset

Excellent analytical, numerical and attention-to-detail skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams

As a Senior Electrical Estimator you will: Lead the preparation and coordination of electrical estimates for power, renewable and industrial projects

Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and tender documentation

Develop detailed material, equipment and labour take-offs

Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and assess technical compliance

Maintain and develop databases of historical costs, unit rates and supplier information

Collaborate with bid and commercial teams on pricing strategies and risk assessments

Prepare cost schedules, pricing summaries and supporting documentation for tenders

Participate in bid reviews, value engineering and post-tender negotiations

Ensure tenders comply with HSQE, commercial and ethical standards

Support project handovers to operations teams following successful awards

Mentor junior estimators and support continuous improvement of estimating procedures

Health, Safety & Quality: Ensure estimating activities align with company HSQE and governance standards

Promote best practice in commercial accuracy, compliance and documentation

Support continuous improvement in estimating systems and processes
