Overview:

An Irish Civil Engineering & Groundworks Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join their team on a large scale residential development in South Dublin.

The project involves an extensive package of civil engineering and groundworks, including site preparation, bulk earthworks, foundations, underground drainage, utilities, road construction and associated external works.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer who enjoys the technical side of civil engineering and wants to take ownership of a substantial package of works on a busy, well organised site.

You'll be joining a highly regarded contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex civil engineering and groundworks packages across major residential, commercial and industrial projects.

There's a real emphasis on teamwork and a hands on approach to project delivery, with experienced management providing support while giving Engineers the autonomy and responsibility to manage their own work.

With a strong pipeline of projects across South Dublin and the surrounding counties, this is an opportunity to secure a long term position with a growing contractor rather than simply moving from one project to the next.

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for the engineering and setting out activities across a major residential civils and groundworks package.
  
  
• Oversee earthworks, foundations, drainage, underground services, roads and associated external works, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.
  
  
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Management team, Main Contractor and subcontractors to ensure works progress safely and efficiently.
  
  
• Manage site surveys, dimensional control, as-built records, QA documentation, Inspection & Test Plans and RFIs.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  
  
• 5-7 years of Site Engineering experience with an Irish Civil Engineering Contractor.
  
  
• Strong experience across earthworks, drainage, foundations, utilities and roads.
  
  
• Excellent setting out, surveying/dimensional control and AutoCAD skills.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect in the region of €75,000 – €80,000, along with a Company Vehicle, Fuel and Matched Pension Scheme.
