A well established Main Contractor in the West is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join their team on an 80 unit residential development in Co. Mayo. This is a hands on site based role offering real responsibility and autonomy, working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team to deliver a high quality residential scheme.
The contractor has a strong reputation for delivering residential projects to a high standard, with a massive pipeline of work across the West of Ireland. Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of engineering works on site, ensuring works are delivered to programme, specification and quality standards.
- Coordinate setting out, levelling and surveying activities for all phases of the residential build.
- Work closely with site management to support planning, sequencing and day-to-day site operations.
- Supervise subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and health & safety requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a site based engineering role in Ireland.
- Excellent knowledge of building regulations, construction practices and H&S standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently on site.
