Your new company are expanding their Energy & Power division and need a Senior M&E Estimator to take the lead on the commercial side of work winning. This is a key role for someone who thrives on challenge and wants to be at the front end of securing projects across HV substations, solar farms, cable routes and major gas infrastructure.

You’ll be working closely with the work-winning team, taking ownership of estimates, engaging directly with suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring bids are competitive, accurate, and commercially sound.

Senior Estimator Skills:
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar estimating role.
  • Previous exposure to energy and power projects.
  • Experience with civil and structural works is beneficial, though not essential.
  • Knowledge of CCS Candy software would be an advantage.
  • Strong background in first principles estimating.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

As a Senior Estimator:
  • Preparing accurate estimates in collaboration with the work-winning team.
  • Reviewing tender drawings and documentation to fully understand scope and deliverables.
  • Attending tender start-up, mid-bid, and adjudication meetings, as well as site visits where needed.
  • Producing detailed BOQs for project scopes.
  • Managing enquiry schedules for suppliers and subcontractors based on tender documentation, drawings, and specifications.
  • Evaluating supplier quotations and negotiating where required to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Contributing to project risk registers and participating in risk meetings alongside Estimators, Planners, Design Coordinators, and client representatives.
  • Attending tender handover meetings with the project team.
  • Preparing and issuing commercial documents for handover to the delivery team.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €80,000 plus package.
