The Role: Senior Health and Safety Officer Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager, you will have full oversight of H&S practices across several project sites. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and mentoring project-based Health and Safety Officers
- Coordinating site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
- Managing and updating H&S systems, documentation, and procedures
- Conducting training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
- Reviewing subcontractor RAMS and ensuring legal compliance
- Promoting a proactive, safety-first culture across all sites
- Investigating incidents and ensuring lessons learned are implemented
What You’ll Need:
- A third-level qualification in Health and Safety or a related field
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar H&S role within the construction industry
- Experience overseeing multiple sites or large-scale developments
- A strong understanding of Irish construction legislation and H&S systems
- Membership of IOSH or similar (preferred)
- Full clean driving licence
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Salary: €60,000 – €65,000 (depending on experience)
