Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Skills:
- Based in Ireland, with a hybrid setup and attendance at the Dublin office when required
- Honours Degree (Chartered an advantage but not essential)
- 7+ years’ experience on Data Centres, Industrial, High Tech, Commercial or Healthcare projects
- Strong knowledge of CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS, and EN standards
- Skilled in AutoCAD, REVIT, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite (other design/analysis software is a bonus)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills
- Track record in leading and coordinating engineering teams successfully
- Curious about new technologies and how they can be applied
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Leading the design of mechanical services from concept stage through to completion
- Preparing detailed specifications, tender packages, reports, and recommendations
- Carrying out design checks and maintaining high-quality control during design and installation
- Ensuring project scopes are clearly developed and delivered in collaboration with design teams and clients
- Upholding and developing mechanical design standards across projects
- Taking the lead on projects with minimal input from senior management
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineering staff
