The Company

This Irish M&E contractor delivers mechanical and electrical building services across commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and other technically demanding construction projects.

With a strong pipeline of work across Dublin, Co Dublin, the company is looking to add an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to its mechanical team. The role offers exposure to complex mechanical packages with good scope to progress towards project management.


The Role Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

This is a key engineering role within the project delivery team, supporting the successful execution of mechanical packages from design through to commissioning and handover. You will play a central role in coordinating technical delivery, ensuring compliance, managing procurement and supporting site teams to deliver projects safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety standards across all project activities
• Review mechanical design drawings, specifications and technical submittals
• Coordinate with design teams and subcontractors to resolve technical issues
• Manage procurement of mechanical equipment and ensure timely delivery to site
• Monitor project programme and support delivery milestones
• Oversee quality of mechanical installations and ensure specification compliance
• Identify and manage variations, technical queries and design changes
• Attend and contribute to client meetings and internal progress reviews
• Support commissioning planning and handover documentation
• Maintain clear and accurate project reporting and documentation

About You

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 4 years experience in a mechanical engineering or M and E contracting environment
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, pipework and mechanical systems
• Experience working across design, installation and commissioning phases
• Proven ability to manage technical coordination on construction projects
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with clients and site teams
• Detail focused with a strong commitment to quality and deadlines
• Organised and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
