Job title: Senior Planner – Main Contractor
Location: Dublin, Co Dublin
Company: Established Irish Main Contractor
Package: €80,000 to €95,000 DOE + vehicle/allowance + package
The Company
This established Irish main contractor delivers major commercial, residential, healthcare, education and technically complex construction projects across Ireland.
With a strong Dublin project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to strengthen their planning team and support the delivery of major construction projects across Dublin, Co Dublin.
The Role: Senior Planner
As Senior Planner, you will develop and maintain detailed construction programmes, monitor progress and work closely with project teams to identify programme risks before they impact delivery.
You will have a strong understanding of construction sequencing and provide practical planning input throughout tender and live project stages.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced Senior Planner with a strong understanding of how major construction projects are delivered on site. You will be confident using Primavera P6, analysing programme performance and working directly with project teams to keep delivery on track.
What’s On Offer

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 5+ years’ construction industry experience with strong project planning and scheduling experience.
- Proven experience on building or civil engineering projects.
- Strong Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel experience required.
- Relevant third-level construction or engineering qualification.
- Prepare tender, contract and detailed construction programmes.
- Produce monthly progress reports and monitor programme performance.
- Review progress, resources and outputs across live projects.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and the wider project team on programme delivery.
- Identify programme risks and develop practical mitigation measures.
- Review construction sequencing and alternative methodologies to improve programme performance.
