This international civil engineering and infrastructure contractor has a strong presence across Ireland, the UK and Europe, delivering major projects across water, wastewater, utilities and civil engineering.
Their Water & Wastewater division has a strong pipeline of work across Co Kildare and throughout Ireland, delivering treatment plants, pumping stations, pipelines and associated civil and MEICA infrastructure for major public sector clients.
The Role: Senior Planner
As Senior Planner, you will be based in Co Kildare and play a key role in the planning and programme delivery of major Water & Wastewater infrastructure projects.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, commercial teams and project controls, you will develop and manage detailed programmes from tender stage through construction, commissioning and handover.
You will monitor progress, assess the critical path, identify programme risks and provide the project team with accurate planning information to support safe and commercially successful delivery.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced Senior Planner with a background in civil engineering, utilities or Water & Wastewater infrastructure.
You will be comfortable working with Primavera P6, analysing complex construction programmes and communicating programme information clearly to project teams and senior management.
A practical understanding of construction sequencing, civil works and MEICA delivery will be important, along with the ability to identify issues early and keep projects moving to programme.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 5+ years' planning or project controls experience within construction or engineering
- Proven experience required on Water & Wastewater, utilities or major civil engineering projects
- Strong Primavera P6 experience is essential
- Experience with a main contractor or civil engineering contractor is required
- Relevant engineering, construction or technical qualification required
- Tender planning and live project delivery experience
- Knowledge of NEC, FIDIC or similar construction contracts
- Experience with programme risk analysis, resource planning and project controls reporting
- Previous exposure to civil engineering and MEICA packages
- Develop and maintain detailed tender and construction programmes
- Monitor progress, critical paths and key project milestones
- Identify programme risks and develop practical mitigation measures
- Prepare progress reports and programme updates for project and client meetings
- Support tender teams with programmes, methodologies and delivery strategies
- Coordinate planning information with engineering, commercial and construction teams
- Develop resource schedules and construction sequencing
- Support programme handover from tender stage into live project delivery
