The Role – Senior Quantity Surveyor
Based out of the Sligo head office with regular involvement on live projects nationwide, you will take a lead commercial role across multiple projects, working closely with Contracts Managers and the Managing Quantity Surveyor.
You will be responsible for ensuring robust commercial control, contract compliance, and accurate financial reporting from pre-contract through to final account.

The Role – Senior Quantity Surveyor
Based out of the Sligo head office with regular involvement on live projects nationwide, you will take a lead commercial role across multiple projects, working closely with Contracts Managers and the Managing Quantity Surveyor.
You will be responsible for ensuring robust commercial control, contract compliance, and accurate financial reporting from pre-contract through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and agreement of interim and final accounts in line with contract requirements.
- Commercial reconciliation of tender documents, contract documents, and design information.
- Full management of variations, including notifications, logs, and commercial recovery.
- Procurement of subcontractor and supplier packages, including analysis, negotiation, and appointment.
- Preparation and issuance of subcontract documentation, insurances, and internal approvals.
- Management of subcontractor payments, final accounts, and retention tracking.
- Preparation of internal project cost reports, trackers, and cashflow data.
- Liaison with site teams, Contracts Managers, Purchasing, and Accounts departments.
- Carrying out site visits and attending project and commercial meetings.
- Supporting tendering activity where required, including BOQ preparation and pricing.
- Mentoring and supporting intermediate and junior surveyors where applicable.
About You
- Professionally qualified in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management.
- 7 years’ experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role within construction.
- Proven experience working on large-scale, high headcount projects with multiple subcontract packages.
- Strong knowledge of building contracts and commercial management on live sites.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with strong time management and reporting capabilities.
- Commercially astute with the ability to maximise value and manage risk.
