The current opportunity is based on a live commercial construction project at Dublin Airport, Co Dublin. The Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for a significant live commercial construction project at Dublin Airport. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and Project Manager, you will oversee all commercial activities from procurement through to final account while ensuring the project remains on budget and commercially successful.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong commercial awareness, excellent subcontractor management skills and proven experience working with a main contractor on Irish construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
You are an organised and commercially focused Quantity Surveyor who enjoys taking ownership of project finances while working closely with operational teams. You have experience delivering commercial construction projects with an Irish main contractor and understand the importance of cost control, programme delivery and maintaining positive relationships across the project team.
You are comfortable managing subcontractors, producing accurate commercial reports and supporting successful project delivery from start to finish.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have experience working with a main contractor in Ireland
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
- Proven experience managing the commercial aspects of construction projects
- Strong knowledge of contracts, procurement, valuations and final accounts
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Preferred Experience
- Commercial construction project experience
- Experience managing subcontractor packages from procurement to final account
- Strong knowledge of cost reporting and financial forecasting
- Experience using commercial management software
Nice to Have
- Chartered status or working towards accreditation
- Experience on large-scale commercial developments
- Knowledge of public procurement contracts
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all commercial aspects of the project from commencement through to completion
- Prepare accurate cost reports, forecasts and monthly valuations
- Procure and commercially manage subcontractor packages
- Negotiate subcontract agreements and final accounts
- Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Monitor project costs and ensure budgets are maintained
- Prepare and assess variations and contractual claims
- Work closely with site management to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Report regularly to senior management on project performance
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
