Overview:
An Irish Engineering Consultancy is recruiting a Senior Resident Engineer to oversee the construction and delivery of significant water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout County Kilkenny.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to take the next step in their career, working in a senior site based consultancy role on a range of important water infrastructure developments.
You'll be joining a long established company with a strong presence in Ireland's civil engineering and utilities sectors, recognised for delivering high quality engineering and project management services across major public infrastructure schemes.
The role will involve supervising a diverse range of water and wastewater construction activities, including upgrades to treatment plants, pumping stations, underground pipelines, reinforced concrete structures and associated civil works.
Working closely with contractors, design teams and project stakeholders, you'll play an important role in ensuring construction activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the required technical and contractual standards.
With ongoing investment in Ireland's water infrastructure and a healthy pipeline of projects, this position offers excellent job security and the opportunity to gain valuable experience on complex civil engineering schemes.

Salary will ultimately depend on experience, but an experienced Engineer can expect a salary in the region of €70,000 - €80,000, along with a generous car & fuel allowance, matched pension scheme, paid professional membership fees and ongoing CPD funding/support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day to day construction operations across water infrastructure projects, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved designs and specifications.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, design engineers and client representatives to coordinate site activities and address technical issues.
- Carry out regular site inspections, monitor workmanship & construction progress and ensure appropriate quality control & health and safety standards are maintained.
- Prepare detailed site reports, maintain accurate construction records and assist with contract administration, progress assessments and project documentation.
Requirements:
- Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience working as a Civil Engineer role in Ireland.
- Experience working on water infrastructure projects would be a distinct advantage.
- Good knowledge of Irish construction practices, QA and health & safety regulations.
