SHEQ Manager – Electrical Contractor
Dublin
Established electrical contractor delivering public lighting, sports lighting, civils, EV infrastructure and solar projects across the Midlands and East Coast.
Salary: €70,000 – €85,000 DOE

Our client is a well-established electrical contractor with over 40 years’ experience delivering essential infrastructure and energy projects across Ireland. They specialise in public lighting maintenance, sports lighting installations, civils works, EV charging infrastructure and solar energy solutions for both public and commercial sector clients.
With a strong reputation for quality delivery, safety standards, and long-term client relationships, the company continues to expand across the utilities and renewable energy sectors. As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to lead and develop the company’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality systems across multiple live projects.
The Role – SHEQ Manager
The SHEQ Manager will take ownership of all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality management systems across the business, ensuring best practice standards are maintained throughout all operations.
This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Director and working closely with operational teams, site management, subcontractors, and clients to drive a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across all projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining compliance, improving operational standards, supporting project delivery teams, and ensuring all SHEQ procedures are implemented effectively across electrical, civils, utilities, EV and renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all SHEQ activities across multiple projects and contracts
- Provide SHEQ guidance and support to operational management and site teams
- Monitor and report on SHEQ performance across the business
- Develop and implement SHEQ improvement initiatives and action plans
- Ensure compliance with all current Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality regulations
- Conduct audits, inspections, and site reviews across active projects
- Track accident and incident reports ensuring corrective actions are implemented fully
- Lead investigations relating to incidents, accidents and dangerous occurrences
- Liaise with management, clients, subcontractors and external bodies regarding SHEQ matters
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organisation
- Maintain SHEQ documentation, policies, procedures and company systems
- Support training initiatives and ensure staff remain compliant with industry standards
- Third level qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental or related discipline
- Strong experience working within construction, electrical, utilities, civils or infrastructure sectors
- Environmental qualification or experience desirable
- IOSH, IEMA or equivalent professional membership highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of SHEQ management systems and best practice
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence teams and drive continuous improvement
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and reporting systems
- Self-motivated, organised and capable of working independently
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving ability
- Full clean driving licence required
