Overview:
A leading international Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced civil engineering professional to take a key leadership role on a large scale underground energy project in County Kildare.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to take ownership of site operations on a substantial infrastructure scheme, involving extensive earthworks, excavation, underground utilities, drainage, ducting and associated civil engineering works.
The company is a well established, family owned Tier 1 Main Contractor with a strong presence across Ireland, Britain and Mainland Europe, delivering high profile projects across a range of various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget.
- Lead and coordinate site teams, foremen and subcontractors, managing resources, sequencing works and driving productivity across all construction activities.
- Oversee the delivery of civil engineering works, including excavation, earthworks, drainage, underground services, ducting and associated infrastructure.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, engineering and commercial teams to monitor progress, resolve site issues and ensure the efficient delivery of the project.
- Trade background or degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline advantageous.
- 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing site operations on medium to large scale projects.
- Strong background in civil engineering, utilities, energy infrastructure or major infrastructure projects would be highly beneficial.
- Excellent leadership, subcontractor management and communication skills, with a strong understanding of health and safety, construction programming and quality standards.
Salary will depend on experience, but you can expect somewhere in the region of €85,000 – €95,000 (DOE), alongside an excellent benefits package which includes:
