Job title: Site Agent – Marine, Roads & Bridges Project
Location: Waterford, Co Waterford

Package: €90,000 to €95,000 + vehicle, fuel card, pension, health, dental & 26 days annual leave
The Company
This Irish Tier 1 main contractor delivers major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Ireland, with experience across roads, bridges and complex civil works.
They are currently delivering a significant civils project in Waterford and are looking for a Site Agent to join the project team.
The Role: Site Agent
As Site Agent, you will play a key role in the delivery of marine, road and bridge works in Waterford, with particular responsibility for earthworks, pavement, roadworks and finishing works.
You will work closely with the Construction Manager, Project Manager, design team, subcontractors and client, ensuring works are delivered safely, technically compliant and in line with the programme.

About You
You are a Civil Engineer or experienced Site Agent with a strong background in earthworks, roads and pavement construction. You will be comfortable coordinating site activities, reviewing technical information and maintaining quality standards across complex civil engineering works.
Strong communication, Microsoft Office skills and the ability to lead and proactively contribute to project teams are required.

Must Have Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Proven experience supervising, coordinating and managing earthworks activities
- Familiarity with specifications for highway works and contract documentation
- Must hold a valid driving licence
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise earthworks, subbase, CBGM and asphalt pavement construction
- Review design submissions for earthworks, pavement, road furniture, markings and finishes
- Prepare method statements, inspection and test plans and risk assessments
- Monitor works and testing to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
- Review detailed road designs and advise the design team on required modifications
- Manage and price contract variations and improvement works
- Prepare enquiries and assist with procurement of materials and subcontractor services
- Attend progress meetings and coordinate technical matters with the site team, client and suppliers
- Support the technical development of staff members
About You
You are a Civil Engineer or experienced Site Agent with a strong background in earthworks, roads and pavement construction. You will be comfortable coordinating site activities, reviewing technical information and maintaining quality standards across complex civil engineering works.
Strong communication, Microsoft Office skills and the ability to lead and proactively contribute to project teams are required.
