Overview:

A strong opportunity has opened for an experienced Site Engineer to join a growing Irish Main Contractor working on the delivery of a significant large scale healthcare development in Cork City.

You’ll be joining the project during the main construction phase, giving you the opportunity to get involved across a broad range of engineering packages including structural works, drainage & utilities and external works.

The role will see you working closely with an experienced Project Manager and Site Manager, taking responsibility for the technical delivery of works and ensuring construction is completed in line with drawings, specifications, BCAR requirements and the overall programme.

The contractor has an excellent track record across the Irish construction market, delivering projects within healthcare, residential, commercial, education, industrial, heritage and fit-out sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Take responsibility for setting out and the technical delivery of allocated sections of the project in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.

  • Review construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation, identifying discrepancies and resolving technical queries with the design and site teams.

  • Carry out and record site inspections, quality testing and validation activities, maintaining accurate QA/QC and engineering documentation.

  • Work alongside the Project Manager, Site Manager, design team and subcontractors to identify and resolve technical issues before they affect programme delivery.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

  • 2+ years of experience working as a Site Engineer with a Main Contractor in Ireland.

  • Strong setting out/surveying experience using Total Station and GPS equipment.

  • Good knowledge of QA/QC procedures, BCAR requirements and Irish building regulations.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE but you can expect between €65,000 - €70,000 mark as well as Vehicle & Fuel/Car Allowance, Matched Pension Scheme, Life Insurance and Ongoing Training & Development.
